Walk To The Veluwe

Oil On Linen Canvas

30 x 40cm

My friends would often joke that whenever we were walking somewhere, despite whether I knew the directions or not, I would impulsively turn to the left. Of course, we would realise and realign, but it's something that stuck with me when I would explore places on my own.

It sounds silly, but this is one of my favourite bends to walk through. I always know what's around the corner, but it beckons regardless, almost like inviting you to some secret land. Even in the darkness ahead, there is a warmth, a place for you- whether you turn, or not.
