My favourite morning at Sonsbeek happened after I'd been running there for a few months. It was March, and I walked by the swans, waved as usual, and noticed the male swan visibly nod his head from a distance, and change his trajectory to swim towards me. Surely, I must be imagining things, right? I waited. He calmly swam over to me, exited the water, and sat in front of me. I myself took a seat on the bench. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't tell you how long passed, but it was the slowest time has ever moved.
